Academic Program
The Faculty of Computer Science offers a four-year course leading to a B.Sc. degree
in computer science. Students are required to complete 147 credit hours (48 courses)
for graduation. The Faculty of Computer Science consists of three main departments:
1.Department of Computer Science
2.Department of Information Systems
3.Department of Software Engineering
1.Department of Computer Science
The Computer science curriculum at MIU places equal emphasis on theoretical computer
science, mathematics and experimental computer technology. A broad range of upper-level
courses is available in such areas as computational complexity and the analysis
of algorithms, combinatorial methods, computer architecture and design, computer
communications and networks, mathematical models for computation and software engineering
design and computer programming.
2.Department of Information Systems
The department offers courses in the areas of system analysis and design, database,
intelligent information systems, decision theory and information security.
3.Department of Software Engineering
The department offers courses in software engineering, fundamentals and requirements
of software engineering, project management in software engineering, selected topics
in software engineering, and software engineering quality assurance.
